As per news and statements by the Police, terror unfortunately struck Bombay late on Wednesday (26th November, 2008) when at least 101 people, including policemen, were killed and over 300 others injured after consecutive powerful blasts and attacks to some hotels.
Blasts were aimed to create "terror" and to disturb social peace, communal harmony and peaceful co-existence in India and in Maharashtra, in particular.
We were deeply shocked by the terrorist attacts and bomb blasts on Wednesday (26th November, 2008) and we strongly condemn these and all terrorist attacks and deplore these barbaric acts which referred to religion, ideology, race, community etc. the hatred and disregard for life and law implicit on them. We all hope that the perpetrators are identified and brought to justice quickly.
"We all grieve that such inhumane and uncivilized crimes has been perpetrated against innocent people in the homeland, a land where freedom has in itself been savagely wounded by the criminals. We are very confident that the people of India will survive these national disasters and will retain peace, courage, sense of dignity, their values and their freedom. There is no doubt that a resilient nation as India will overcome these brutal and senseless attacks and the Government of India takes necessary steps to prevent similar violence in the future."
We call on all leaders and heads of various religious and social communities to condemn this horrible terrorist attacks together and to call on all citizens to maintain peace and harmony.
We call on all citizens to maintain peace and harmony and work to frustrate all attempts to disturb social peace.
INDIALOGUE expresses its deep condolences to the people and the families of the victims and prays for the rapid recovery of those injured by this horrific crime. Our deepest prayers are with those affected by this tragic event.
We pray for their speedy recovery.
